Hey Eric

Since you are virtually the only person that has seen this BLOG, how do I add pictures to my header to make a collage?

xxoo I still Love ME - even if you are reading!

OH MY Goodness (Shirley Temple style)

I have entered the world of MEME's!

That is pronounced like the word "Dream"!

I started to add these to my Art Challenges on my Art Blog but it quickly became clear that I had entered a whole new world!

This is a world of crafts and just about everything else you can think of.

My favorite is "Fertilizer Friday"! Yes!

I must tell my sister-in-law, Barbara. She loves scrap booking and wants to get into rubber-stamping. I just happen to have a barrel size box of stamps! I wish she would take them. I'll never do that and maybe she would.

This sight into this NEW WORLD could be as life involving as my art has become and maybe even easier to make it big in. In my art world, you have to be an artist and a darned good one to make it anywhere.

In this world, you just have to be a crafter. And everybody sets up their own challenges. It must be almost like (gawd - I hate to say this) cancer cells. The replication is exponential in what a person can do.

Let's see, blogs or MEME's I remember:

Table Setting Day (you have to be rich or own a speciality shop)
Salad day
What's on your wall day
Blue Day
Pink Day
Theme Day
inchy / twinchy day - art on 1" squares or 2" squares
4x4 day - art on 4x4 stock of some kind - I could figure out the base material
Bargain purchase of the day Day - like thrift stores or garage sales
Recycle something day
Fertilizer Day
Picture of an animal day
Picture of you town day
B&W photo day
Make it with paper day
Music day
Moody Monday
Tarot Day
Viral Video Day
Best post of the week day
Before & After project day
Heads or Tails day
Skywatch photo day
Freezer Food Day - That a must - don't you think?
Smiley Day
Wrap up the week day
Signs of Life day - signs that "reveal our humanity"?
Picture Yourself EVERYDAY

OK, see what I mean? It's better than the lottery. After a few misses, you're bound to hit something that catches on!

You know what I wonder day? I wonder if back in January when I Googled "flamingo" what would have happened if I'd run across "Anything Water Day" instead of Norma Wilson, the artist that lead me dailypainters.com.

I'd probably be hosting my own crafts & rubber stamps day by now! with a sideline of garage sale "things" to brag about how much money I was saving!

I've got to rest! This is mind boggling! Think I'd better go paint something on plain old boring canvas.

One thing is for sure, I've been at the computer 25.5 hours now and my butt is worn out!

I love my new life. It just doesn't get better than this.

Since this is my Blog, just for me and by me, I'll sign off with:

xxoo - I love you, Beckie!

Finding Grandmother's house

Who Knew Getting to Grandmother's House Would Be This Hard?

Chick, a little buzzed: Fleetwood, crestwood, woodlawn ... There's so much wood on this train I can't concentrate.
Boyfriend: [stares at her wide-eyed].
Chick: Oh my god, did I just say that?
Boyfriend: Yes, and at least five guys heard it.
Random guy: I'm one.

Lions - 5 quotes + one

I'm currently painting lions and researched lion quotes. I found the one I wanted to use for the painting I posted and helped develop the name of the post. But I found six others I also liked! I would like to post things here by five's, but if that number doesn't work, it will have to be another! What is a blogger goin'a do? Leave out a goodie just for the number? I think not!

So, here are today's 6 lion quotes:

I am impelled, not to squeak like a grateful and apologetic mouse, but to roar like a lion out of pride in my profession. John Steinbeck

If a lion could talk, we could not understand him. Ludwig Wittgenstein

It's better to be a lion for a day than a sheep all your life. Elizabeth Kenny

An optimist is someone who gets treed by a lion but enjoys the scenery. Walter Winchell

Dressed in the lion's skin, the ass spread terror far and wide. Jean de La Fontaine

Every dog is a lion at home. H. G. Bohn

If you have a lion quote you like, please leave it as a comment. This is a dialogue, I don't want to do all the talking!

A few pictures I like ... today!

2009, Ready to jump start this old blog. I actually did not know I had it! I'm starting with a few random pictures. They have no connection to one another and aren't especially important! There will be lots more pictures and lots of commentaries. Elizabeth, this may be a big one!
